And her brother went to Asia a few years ago and hasn’t called or visited. She’s happy working at a day care, but isn’t going to be rich in this lifetime. It’s Christmas Eve and Holly gets sent home from the soup kitchen but her old car almost wipes out on the slippery snowy road. Nate Thomas barely misses hitting her car, but has to run off the road to avoid her. Holly is so scared and tense she starts crying. Nate has the right arms to hold her tight. She’s 22, he’s 42 and a successful surgeon. He’s 100% sure he’s been waiting for Holly the whole time he’s been studying and working, and he’s ready to get married and have babies. He’s thrilled she’s a virgin. It’s a bit ridiculous to believe that he’s still a virgin, too. But we get the HEA with the 30 yr anniversary in our epilogue.
