Kidnapped and abused by two cowboys, Daisy Dale sees an opportunity for escape. Running for her life, she hides in a farmhouse.

Step by step, Daisy grows closer to the farmer, who tells her she can stay with him as long as she likes. Meanwhile, Daisy's parents go to the marshal to help find their missing daughter, and search parties are sent out. When the marshal's men find the body of an abused girl and take her back, the doctor confirms it is Daisy.

This paranormal romance is a story of hope, healing, and forgiveness.

This story is only in erotica because of the sexual violence that occurs. But it's alluded to more than shown, though the parts that are shown (through words) are a bit stomach-turning and easily triggering around issues of rape and how horribly women of lower SES are spoken of (only by a bad guy). Otherwise, no mutual, romantic sex occurs, and the abuse plays a small part. But it's referred back to throughout the story.
This story has a hidden, less obvious supernatural slant so that the listener leaves both sad and hopeful.
