Grant Wilkinson, the scarred and decorated war hero, has always seen himself as a monster. He's finally getting his life on track by embracing the help of Renata Koreman, the equally damaged self-proclaimed mouse.

Together, they address their inner demons amidst a backdrop of secrets, scandal, murder and abuse. Avenge is a satisfying conclusion to the Abuse trilogy, full of healing, twists, turns, and surprises.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

What an superb wrap up for Grant and Renata. They worked out the last of their intimacy and trust issues with some pretty sizzling, explosive, ah, encounters! Whew! What they thought was a battle to prove Grant’s innocence against all odds (and justification) for the murder of his father, turned into a dangerous race to destroy a well organized and hidden pedophile network that involved people with wealth and power. My favorite man ever, André Chevalier was a key player in this takedown, giving us a glimpse of his past and hopefully his story to come.

Roberto Scarlato does a french accent that is so believable that I prefer it over the obvious Frenchman Guillaume Dubois, who has portrayed André in other books.

👍🏻👍🏻TWO THUMBS UP!!!!

OMG...I was on the edge of my seat many, many times. I laughed and cried (a lot), but couldn't wait to find out what happened next. This is a must read series.

Awesome finish to a spell binding series....

Firstly, this is not a standalone book, the series needs to be read in order.

Secondly, OMG what an ending to this captivating trilogy, each book has been better than the last and the ending was everything I could have hoped for and more.

While the themes of child abuse are disturbing, this is a taboo topic that needs to be talked about more and this series speaks of it in a respectful and realistic way.

I enjoyed seeing Renata and Grant both healing, coming to some much needed and important realizations and finding love and support with each other. The chemistry between them and the open and honest communication is beautiful and inspiring.

I cannot recommend the series highly enough.

The narration is excellent, the character voices are great and the delivery manages to convey so much emotion while staying true to the nature of the characters.

The "Abuse" trilogy was an erotic fictionalize story of abuse, healing and attaining justice. The introduction of a sexual surrogate stimulated my curiosity about the role of this kind of therapist. Normally in real-life situations professionalism would probably exclude the romantic involvement of the therapist with his/her client. Possibly the extensive education of the effects of abuse and how to heal both physical and sexual abuse could have flowed a little better with the storyline instead of being so obviously intensely focused on with involved explanations. The sex was fun and very descriptive. It was especially helpful the surrogate was open-minded and very sexual. Some of the sex seemed unrealistically pornographic. This made for erotic situations that really seemed inflated in expectations. I did, however, particularly like the openness and acceptance of creative sexuality as a normal part of two consensual adults' relationship. And, of course, as a woman, I loved Andre.

Conclusion to a Thought Stimulating Series
