Keri Dobson owns the bakery in Friday Harbor, which says a lot about the thirty-three-year-old woman who grew up on the coast of Washington State. She’s been doing it long enough and doing it well enough that the community not only loves what she does but also depends on it. Her days begin at three every morning, which means she has to go to bed when everyone else would normally just be heading out on a date. As such she hasn’t been on a date in years.
Brad Simpson, is a successful engineer and inventor. After developing a new product that people all over the country loved, he found his world being invaded by reporters and writers, strangers that wanted to pepper him with questions. It got to the point where he couldn’t go to the grocery store of sit down for coffee with friends without being the center of attention.
He remembered visiting Friday Harbor with his family when he was young. He loved the casual friendly people, the older architecture and beauty of the place. No one ever seemed to be in a rush. So now when he can move out of the city he chose to head for Friday Harbor.
What neither Keri or Brad knew was that their worlds, their paths, were about to cross.
