Interesting and unique dystopian premise that is just a backdrop for the main romance story. As long as you are aware of that and are not expecting crazy, detailed world building, then this is an enjoyable story. Sean Masters was perfect as Rome with his deep, velvety voice. CJ Bloom read this a little too child-like and naive so I ended up reading her chapters, instead of listening on audiobook. This book was done in dual narration, not duet, in case others were curious.
Rome is an OTT, alpha MMC that is possessive while also being a sweet cinnamon roll to Aster.

Loved the narrators. Loved the characters. Loved the story. I will definitely be reading more Nicci Harris books.

I was mad at myself for putting this one off for so long. This dystopian world took me on such a wild adventure. Im so looking forward to the rest of the series. If you can do the audio for this one, i highly recommend it!

I didn't get overly annoyed by the FMC and the MMC was not a super dick and his character development was sweet.

This was an excellent dystopian story. The love side of it was interesting but the world building was pretty fantastic.
