James has always dreamed of a rustic life in the countryside, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. When he inherits a cabin in a charming little town, his dreams might just come true!

got a code for an honest review. look at the cover, if you like spicy covers, expect spicy stories. this book is fantastic, Mc gets a cabin in the woods to live the simple life dream. its well written and the performers do a great job bringing it to life.

The MC's dad dies and leaves him the family cabin out in the woods of the middle of nowhere. His life isn't going so great so he decides to give it a go for a few days to see if it's better than what he's got in the city.
Well he meets a couple of really hot women and finds out he's a mage and now has a gorgeous cat girl as a familiar.
I don't think he's going back.
Great slice of life harem.

So I got this book thinking it would be an interesting story. However, the story was OK but felt really rushed. Like it's intended to be a quick harem story and that is it with little to no substance. Which... is how it fits the bill. Quick and short as it was designed. I thought I was going to like it more but it's more of a filler for me in between stories. Would I continue listening to the series? Yes! Is it on top of my listening list? No! Would I recommend it to others? Depending on a short quick series to listen to.

I like the direction of this series so far, the magic system is pretty cool. Jack Bryce always does a good job and I really like the performance from the narrators.

This was kinda ok. Did not like the male narrators voice, felt to much like a happy grandpa to me. Also there was close to 0 story in this. When I had an hour left in the book I was still confused on what’s actually the point of this book.
