An underground classic, Crash explores the disturbing potentialities of contemporary society's increasing dependence on technology as intermediary in human relations. In this hallucinatory novel, the car provides the hellish tableau in which Vaughan, a "TV scientist" turned "nightmare angel of the highways", experiments with erotic atrocities among auto crash victims, each more sinister then the last. James Ballard, his friend and fellow obsessive, tells the story of this twisted visionary as he careens rapidly toward his own demise in an internationally orchestrated car crash with Elizabeth Taylor.

I thought the movie was actually a bit better, but this kept me entertained

A quite unique story. Not for everyone.

A great book for the considered reader.

I have read almost all of J.G.Ballard's books. including the 60rhs of collected works.
I saved this for last and I am so thankful. if it was first it would have turned me off to the great books ahead.

I like this guy. My favorite is "concrete island". so don't think this is a bad revue.

The story is graphic descriptive sex and car crash in slow motion.
I can understand the book from a perspective of his other work and reading about him.
it is not a book for the casual listener. its also not porn directly.
Ballard is getting close to touching what his books seem to long for.
psychological freedom to do what one wants with no restraint.

car. smash. sex. cum. fantasize more.
