I know that we wouldn't have gotten here without the first two books, but I'm thrilled to get the read that I am use to getting from Emmanuelle de Maupassant! This brought the series to a four star even though this book is a five star.

I was totally invested in both couples as well. I was grumpy when being interrupted while listening. I couldn't wait to see how this was going to resolve and give us a HEA. I loved it.

This is probably best listened to as a complete set.

Gareth J Davies is great narrator. I like how he transports me into another world, another era, where I feel like I'm there. I love listening to him.

I enjoyed this third book even more than the first two books of this trilogy.
This adventure is situated on a boat, traveling to Brazil. On the very first night at sea there is a murder but the murderer seems not finished. Attacks take place, a second murder. (I seriously dislike the captain of the boat, a misogynistic dumb guy.) Anyway, there is a lot of suspense, adventure, tragidy but also love in this book. It is very well written, I love this author!
The narrator did again a wonderful job with the voices and dialects, and added some music and sound effects. Great job, and I definitely can recommend giving this trilogy a try.

Well, this part of the story was quite suspenseful! As we come to the end, twists happen, love happens, and questions are answered, followed by a lovely epilogue. I enjoyed seeing Maude's character develop all the way through the series. Em writes some great female characters. Really enjoyed the entire series. And I've definitely become a Gareth fan!

Yes, the last in this trilogy has become a "Who dun't", than the over the top erotica the first book was.
Either way, they both had a background story that lead to this final book, much as life has many roads, that lead to the one destination.
I haven't commented on the narrative or the sound effects, but they definitely make these audiobooks a pleasurable experience.
