Griffins Park, Illinois, was once a peaceful flourishing new city on the verge of success before two vampire brothers come into town and slowly but surely take over. Little by little, the two brothers began turning each person they came across into vampires, starting with the wealthiest and the most influential individuals. Soon this new peaceful city was becoming a city of crime and brutality.

Victoria Castle is sent to Griffins Park to investigate the whereabouts of her missing younger sister, Kamlyn Castle. With the help of Detective John Sanderson, she learns that not everything is as it seems in Griffins Park. Sometimes the real monsters lurk in plain sight in the dark shadows of the city, and sometimes the ones who you suspect is a monster is not the real monster indeed. Looks can often be deceiving in the city of Griffins Park.

Griffins Park is the first installment of a new paranormal series called Griffins Park.

I couldn’t finish. Nothing against the narrator, thought she did a good job but the writing was immature and boring. Characters were unlikeable and boring. Redundancy is found in back to back sentences over and over and over again. I had to stop.

Paranormal romance fans, especially of the erotica kind, this is the book for you. This story has lots of steamy scenes. I will warn there is a sexual abuse scene that was a little rough to get through. But once you get pass it the story really unfolds. This is a story about self discovery and also about righting wrongs. I found myself really rooting for the downfall of the evil vampire that was a monster in all forms. I love the alliances formed. I am not giving details for a reason. There are too many stories within this story to comment on. I guarantee readers/listeners will be hooked throughout the story. You even get a bonus story at the end. Also when you start to read it you will think you have the story figured out but you will be so wrong. I loved that!

Addicting Paranormal Romance with lots of surprise

Vampires and werewolves in an engrossing storyline. After danger and adventure, two couples find love and "some" evil is defeated. The wide cast of characters were interesting and intriguing. The story is gritty, gripping and graphic- ENJOY- I did. The narrator's voice and expressions added to my enjoyment of this story.

I can't get over how much the writing feels like it was for a freshman writing class. The same word is used over, and over, and over and over in very short secession. If the author consulted a thesaurus occasionally, that alone would have added another star to the story part of this review.

Characters were one-dimensional, with motivations that seem to only exist to get to the next plot point, while scenes that were supposed to be exciting and dynamic felt flat and again because the same words were used as descriptions over and over simply blah.

Ms. Jones' narration was the saving grace. She worked hard to make what she was given seem exciting, and draw you in. A few spots it worked a bit, but the material she had to work with just didn't give her a chance to really shine.

I was given a copy of this book at my request in exchange for a fair review.
