The genius and the sunshine girl. As children, we fought bitterly and often, bickering every chance we got. But then we grew up. Then we came back.

Delphine Dansey carries her heart on the outside of her body; she's looking for love and chasing dreams. She's spoiled and selfish, the kind of beautiful that's made for money and fame. But somehow she's ended up in my keeping: a pretty submissive I can't seem to resist, a lover who obsesses and tempts me.

I thought I'd locked my heart away a long time ago, along with all my other weaknesses. But some doors won't stay closed, no matter how hard I fight to keep them shut. She unravels me, just like our friends are unraveling, just like Thornchapel itself is unraveling.

All year long, we've been sowing lust and jealousy and pain, heedless of the consequences. But a harvest is inevitable, and so now we must reap our sorrows.

And our sighs.

Harvest of Sighs is the third book in the Thornchapel quartet.

So many passages were pure poetry; digging under my breast bone, into my heart. Screaming NO NO NO into my empty room, changes nothing, sad to say. This book, the series, is so well written, with characters brilliantly conceived and executed! The ending leaves me enthrall and wanting more, more. Kudos to the skill and tenderness of the actors that impart life, love, and grief, to their characters. Truly unforgettable.

Uggh. So much angst. This series is nothing that I thought it would be. It’s so much better. Superb writing, complex and lovable characters, angst, love, jealousy, spicy (hooray).
If I had 5 friends and we all lived the life of these characters I would feel very lucky. I know there are issues but the love they have for each other knows no bounds. Plus how they share can be down right erotic and it looks good on them.
The POV from Saint Sebastian. Oh my. He pours his soul out and it is so eloquent and breaks my heart.
I loved the new narrator for Rebecca. It just made her stand out so much more. But Rebecca is fighting some demons and she needs to get her head out of her ass. I love her so much and that character could seriously make me change teams.
The dynamics of Saint Sebastian and Auden really changed and I just want them to be together. A tragic love story.
They all have demons to face and they finally learn more about their parents and the rituals of Thornchapel.
Sierra Simone is a master storyteller.
She’s a f*cking genius.

My heart aches for this series

I am in love with the Thornchapel series and this book was such an add. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Every moment I could listen to it even for a minute or two I went head first! Yeah so theres some things that people don’t do or they are not okay. But this is a book, its a fantasy book. It’s supposed to entertain our minds. I think this story is beautiful and I can’t wait to read the next one, but I also don’t want it to end! I think that Sierra Simone is a fantastic writer and I love how free she lets her mind be.

In love…

If possible this installment was more heartbreaking than the last. I loved that we got more background in the world and everything has come to a crescendo in preparation for the final book. I have no idea how this is going to end well but I cannot wait to go on the journey.

Sierra Simone always delivers

I’m so glad we got rid of the breathy female narrator. It was nice having a few people for different voices. The narrator for Rebecca was a bit annoying, but you become so enthralled in the story that you’re able to ignore it.

Now to the story. It was great… until it wasn’t. Get ready for a heartbreaking ending that makes you want to read more and more. This one was finally more Sierra like (aside from the incest), but it fits with the story.

I liked how the story came along in this installment and am excited for the last one.

Thank god she changed narrators
