Continues the fun sacrilegious sarcastic comedy of the first with a larger cast of zany evil/good characters. The character elements here made it more fun; the first felt more like a spunky dead stripper puzzling mystery and this one more about counting on friends in low places. This sequel is a bit more 'rock n roll.' It's told in an enjoyable comedic manner that makes it relatable even when the material might be intended to be challenging. The humor is appreciated but sometimes hit or miss and milks jokes for what they're worth (a joke about car butts from the first is admirably still going strong). Narrator Cathi Colas (a hero) is perfect here with an older female voice that feels relatable and ironic for some of the material versus voice type. Hopefully we get more 'South of Heaven' books.

Hell Awaits by Erin Louis is a great paranormal horror erotica. Cathi Colas did a great job with the narration. The story is interesting, comedic, erotic, entertaining, horror, and more. Hell Awaits is the second book in South of Heaven series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.highly recommended

really liked the idea behind this book, and the overall concept had a lot of potential. The story itself was interesting and kept me engaged, but I could have done without some of the crudeness and vulgarity. Those moments didn’t really add much for me and sometimes pulled me out of the story. Overall, it’s an intriguing listen with a strong premise, just one that could’ve been a bit more restrained in places.
