I absolutely love a romance with a curvy girl in it. This book does start out slow but it does pick up. Carla Lopez does well with the narration. Charlotte is a badass. Might not seem like it to begin with but she is. Nix is secretly a teddy bear. They just make sense together. Always remember that nothing is as it seems.
This book is a definite relisten for me. Remember to check your TW list as this book does touch on some dark topics.

I had already read this book, so I knew what I was getting into and that it was a story I loved. The reader had a great voice perfect for this title! Even knowing what was coming I was still held captivated to the story, waiting to hear what would happen next in the seemingly ill fated romance that was blossoming between Charlotte and Nix.

Her by D.V. Fischer is an exciting, fast-paced romance wrapped in danger and undercover secrets. The insta-love between Phoenix and Charlie worked well in this high-stakes environment, creating a gripping emotional connection right from the start.

Charlie, a rookie cop, dives headfirst into a sex trafficking ring as part of an undercover operation—and that’s where she meets Phoenix, a man who's been deep in this world for years. His motives, however, aren’t what they seem. Phoenix is in this dangerous mess not for profit, but for revenge—hunting the person responsible for abducting his cousin.

While Phoenix’s twist wasn’t entirely unexpected, part of Charlie’s backstory definitely caught me off guard, adding depth and emotional layers to the plot. If you’re looking for a romantic suspense with heart, danger, and two strong leads fighting for more than just love, this is a great pick.

Her is a rollercoaster of emotions. It’s full of suspense, it’s dark, and a twisted romance. This book revolves around human trafficking and is a very dark subject. But DV does it so well. The writing was done so beautifully. You can’t help that it breaks your heart reading about how some of the people are treated.

Charlotte or Charlie is our curvy FMC. She decides she wants to go undercover and bring down this human trafficking ring. Her boss does not think she is ready and neither does her partner. But Charlie is determined to prove herself. She has been mourning her late husband and now she is ready to get out there. She is strong and going to do whatever she needs to do.

Feenix or Nix is our MMC. You want to hate him because he is involved in this business, but the love and protection he has for Charlie, you can’t help but fall in love with him. You can tell underneath it all, he is a good guy.

The chemistry between the two starts from the very beginning and the spice between them is off the charts!

Carla did a good job with the narration of this book. You could feel the emotions of the character.
