Senator Beau Beckett refuses to lay low because of a few death threats on postcards. His new bodyguard isn't going to convince him otherwise. At least not until the threat becomes real and his four-year-old daughter's safety is jeopardized. He has no choice but to work with his cocky and sexy Agent Wolfe to stay alive.
Federal Security Protection agent Judd Wolfe doesn't play by the rules. His out-of-the-box way of getting things done lands him a babysitting job. But being Senator Beckett's bodyguard while staying out of his bed becomes his biggest challenge as passion ignites between the men.

However, the narration was good and kept me listening, even if I wasn't really engaged. If you're looking for something really short and heavy on plot, then you might like this one.
Didn't engage me; too much plot, but well narrated

Would you listen to His Guarded Heart again? Why?
No, I'd not want to listed to it again. I'd rather read the book to create my own character voices and intonations. How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
It wasn't NOT enjoyable. However, I feel that the story lacked a depth of development and emotion that would be needed, especially while portraying Beau to be a protective single parent. What does Michael Ferraiuolo bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Michael Ferrauiolo's character voices were fun (and funny). He has a very pleasant speaking voice and was easy to listen to.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I probably would have and could have listened to it in one sitting had I not started it at 3:00 a.m..Any additional comments?
Strong characters. Although they knew of each other in a professional capacity, they should have taken more time on a personal and intimate front, especially when there's a young child to care for. Short novella, quick pace, not very dimensionally or emotionally deep. Swift forward progress to an abrupt ending. Virtually no predictability. Overall, not bad but I'd still like to read the book to compare my reactions.A little to quick and shallow, esp. with a child.
