I have read two of the others first Novel's which were excellent ,but this one was not her best it was still good just not as good as her others.

Hendricks excells at portraits of female anti-heroes!

Here, Ramona has seperated from a husband and tries to goad herself into feeling by seeking danger and adventure. She falls in with her diving instructor and they fall on a torrid, dark path.

Who is the Iguana? Ramona calls her lover the unfeeling, cold blooded one, but she's the coldest one of all. The only crack we see in her is with the death of her pet iguana when she falls apart.
