A Spanking Romance
Lynn Carlyle
Laurel Bryson was feeling at once enthusiastic about her new job in Edgarton, Iowa, and hollow and empty in regard to her personal life.
She had sabotaged her own chances at romance in the past, and was estranged from her family. For that matter, the only meaningful connection with her family was that she had just inherited the home of her late but beloved grandmother in the town of Edgarton.
Arriving by bus was something that she had to confess was symbolic. At the age of 43, she, was going to have a new home, new job and a new car as soon as she got a driver to take her to a dealership.
In the midst of all this, she was haunted by the moments when she had to confess to herself that she had passed up opportunities to reconcile with her siblings, perhaps even her problematic mother. But she had seemed content to simply resent and blame them for the issues that kept them separated.
Unexpectedly, on her first day at her new job she encounters a customer of her new company by the name of Walt Howard. And it is undeniable that each finds the other attractive.
But when they eventually begin to see each other, Laurel does not know what to do about Walt’s manner of confronting her about the relationship with her family that is obviously making her unhappy.
And then, their relationship takes a turn that is at once both serious and mischievous, when he suggests a novel remedy to help her get past her stubbornness, something that he is willing to administer to her benefit, and to her backside.
