Overall the book was okay, wasn’t one of my favorites. I thought it would have a better storyline. Wish I didn’t waste a credit on it.

Marcus & Laney: triggers- cancer, gambling, arson, kidnapping, assault, military, BDSM. this was a surprisingly smoking hot ex-boyfriend's/best friend's dad trope. Laney is struggling to keep get family's failing, while also dealing with her brother in prison and hiding a serious crush on her ex boyfriend's dad. Marcus is former military who works security with a former teammate. he's been fighting his feelings for Laney for years but no more. now... she's HIS! I really enjoyed this. though the bdsm was more than expected.
