Emotionally crippled Liz isn't looking for a relationship when she meets delish boy-next-door Cohen. He's several years younger, a volunteer firefighter...and a virgin, making him totally off-limits. But never one to back away from a challenge, she develops a close friendship with Cohen while she continues to satisfy her physical needs elsewhere.

Even as she spends her evenings in another man's arms, she somehow finds herself curled up in Cohen's bed each night. It's been a long time since she's had a true, honest-to-goodness make-out session, but Cohen's showing her just how much fun not having sex can be.

When Cohen is injured in the line of duty, Liz's real feelings for him rise to the surface, and she has to decide if she's willing to take a risk on love after enduring so much heartbreak in the past.

I like story. I wanted to hear more from the male point of view BUT the Male narrator isn't good at all. I'm glad I didn't hear more from him

Cute story

... But other parts of the story were INFURIATING. The female character was not that likeable. She kept wondering if she were good enough for the male character. (she wasn't)
There were weird holes in the plot that were never quite addressed... Also, the guy narrator at the end sounded old enough to be her DAD, not her lover. It was weird. I loved the first half of this story... But I couldn't make myself love the rest. But if you're looking for a steamy story... This is it! Wow.

Parts of the story were amazing...

The story was enjoyable. I liked Eliza slowly giving into her feelings for Cowan. I was surprised in the beginning that there was only the female narrator but she did a good job with all of the different character’s voices. It was completely jarring to have the male narrator for the epilogue. I didn’t like his voice at all. It sounded like an older man reading as a young man.

Enjoyable Story

This book has some good points, like a hot firefighter as a neighbor. But both the H and h were immature in their own ways. The few hot scenes didn’t offset the lack of more depth for me. And the male narrator is horrible. Thankfully he only narrates the last chapter, which is also the cheesiest.

Okay, kind of immature, bad male narrator
