She will share his bed

It may have been Charity Wyatt's father who stole from mogul Rocco Amari, but it's Charity who will pay the price of Rocco's vengeance.

Carry his heir

Relinquishing her virginity should have covered Charity's debt, but her one white-hot night with the enigmatic Italian has unexpected consequences.

And be his wife!

Determined her baby will have a better childhood than she did, Charity asks Rocco for financial help. But Rocco has bigger plans in mind: to legitimize his heir by making Charity his wife!

When one night leads to pregnancy!

This was not a favorite of mine to read. Even though her father had embezzled money from him, he still decided to take her to bed for her part. He should have sent her to jail. I understand that is not the story line. It would not sell... But now she is pregnant with his child. The rest of the story is how they will work as a family unit. As I stated in the beginning this was not a favorite of mine. I did give it three stars due to how Maisey Yates had all the elements go together in the end. The narration did a fine job with the story line. Will listen to her in another story.

It was a bit over long is what I would call needless words... but overall, a good read and audio.

ok. Overall story was ok. Probably would have been a better short story. But the big issue was the narrator's Italian accent. Considering her last name, I would have expected better. Ir was SO dreadful. All over the place from bad fake sounding Italian to times I thought we had wondered into Bella Lugosi! The story was just ok, it would have been improved if they had done something with her father and the con. LOTS of introspection and talking to themselves...thank goodness she didn't do Rocco's thought in the horrible Italian accent. Narrator might be better in a book with no accents, but overall she was fairly dull.

DREADFUL ACCENT
