That brings it down to Eliana being atypical. She’s a tall, muscular, independent woman. She owns and operates a large ranch in the Midwest. She also owns a half-interest in a saloon in town. Both were inherited from her father. She can take care of herself and she knows it. She describes herself as being damaged. She’s not wrong about that.
Eliana doesn’t look or act anything like what Mac thought his perfect woman would. Where’s the blonde hair? Where are the bouncy breasts? Where’s the nicely padded butt? Where’s the ‘Oh, look, I’ve got a big strong man’ attitude? Now he’s thinking that maybe he’s been fooling himself all of these years because Eliana Cameron is none of that.
Eliana doesn’t have a problem she needs his help with. In fact, she didn’t have a problem at all until the night he showed up at the annual Fall Country Western Festival her town hosts. The Festival is always good for business, bringing hundreds of tourists into town. Of course, with those tourists come a fair share of rowdies. Eliana never had any problem handling them. This year, it reeled in an ex-Army Ranger who wanted nothing more than a burger and a beer. Handling him proved more of a problem for her than all of the rowdies combined.
The title 'Nothing Without Providence' is a translation of the Colorado state motto Nil Sine Numine.
