I loved reading Persephone when it came out. But listening to Gregory Salinas narrate this story to me takes it to a whole other level. He was absolutely perfect, first and foremost, in how he captures Hades and how you just completely get lost in hearing him tell you the tale of the God of the Underworld finding his Goddess of Spring. Even when he is reading as Persephone it just works. This is just a perfect, and freakin hot, listen. A must have!!!

The synopsis for ‘Persephone’ is right up my alley, unfortunately the end result was disappointing. Reading a Kitty Thomas book is usually a guaranteed great time for me. In fact, the only reason I have not read all of her books is because I like to save and space out the fun. I did not feel that way with this book. It was not that it was bad as much as it lack substance. I did not feel any depth from the characters or their relationship. Persephone especially fell flat, and seemed pretty dim. The whole plot was very basic, and the conflicts minor and not very intriguing. The sexual aspects also did nothing for me, seeming somewhat tagged on for dark erotica. Overall I hate being negative about an author I admire, but this has been my least entertaining Kitty Thomas experience thus far.

On a positive note, the actor, Gregory Salinas, was wonderful. I really enjoyed his performance as a whole and thought he fit the tone perfectly.

Believe me this is not the high school version of this myth! Kitty Thomas and Gregory Salinas have given us an audible book that will melt your panties off. Take a god and goddess that are total opposites sexually and be prepared for one rollercoaster ride of sexual awakening. Persephone surprised me by how much she is into this kinky world of sexual pleasures. I wish my home could do what hers does for her. Maybe even Hades will feel love instead of just desire. If you like very kinky love stories, I highly recommend this Audible book. The narrator makes this book even sexier. Kitty Thomas has written a book that will hold your attention the whole time.

This story intrigued me but took me way to long to get through, as the contest was a bit much .Overall it was a good storyline , Hades wanting to find love ,kidnapping Zeus's daughter for revenge. The last few chapters were really good.
