Memory: the faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information.

The crazy thing about memories, though, is that they can be good or bad. In Ezio's case, they're the f--king nightmares that have him popping pills to suppress them. His memories hang on to him like a loose thread, and no matter how hard his people try to snag it off, it's no use.

In this sequel, Jisei finds herself knocking on death's door. Just when she and Ezio choose to stop toying with one another's feelings, she pops the very pill that he'd been using to cope. Except it wasn't a Tylenol. Nor was it Ezio's Percocet.

With Jisei out of commission, Don is on a rampage to avenge his sister. Every promise he made, truce he called, and deal he connected, Don wants to renege on it all. The Cuppacio and Rinaldi alliance is no more. Don is ready for war and wants Ezio on the front line. But things may not be that simple.

Everyone has a job to do, including The Don, and his job may require him to stand down.

the entire series all jisei talked about was how sexy EZ was.. she never did anything of substance that she liked about him. and all he did was disrespect her but for some reason this girl was deeply inlove with him. I wish that her charecter had more depth and wasnt so willing to deal with a man that clearly didn't care about her. the story was good as hell but her charecter was annoying. like girl they're more to love than a man being sexy.

jisei annoying

I fell in love with the Rinaldi and Cuppacio clans. I was hoping to experience a little more of Ezio and Jisei’s HEA. The performance was great. I hope the rest of the books come to audio.

Great Story

This authors books are always entertaining with many laugh out loud moments, but much like Love Belvin, in an effort to weave the storyline together from multiple books, Lisa Austin throws a bunch of subplots into the mix, including some seemingly irrelevant details like the "Mission Impossible" missions that were in this book and book 1 and then she also throws in multiple flashbacks to prolong it even further. As a reader, I just wanted a book that focused on the main characters and the progress their storyline made with a few cameo's from past characters, but of course that didn't happen. What I got instesd was whiplash with all the childish behavior from both main character. And while there were a few touching moments sprinkled throughout the book and finally a resolution in the last hour of the over 10 hour book- it all still felt like a bunch of dragged out, albeit mostly entertaining fluff. Because I laughed a lot, I am giving it 3.75 stars but it was way too long for it not to have focused on Jisei and Ezio's HEA sooner in the book.
