This book felt like 3 mini stories in one.

We get to see Alpha Mason and his mate Dani and there interaction.
We get Beta Phil and his interest who is human Alisha.
And we get Cal the doctor and his interest Porcha.

I liked the dynamic of this pack, and let’s take a moment and say hello narrator who not only sounds yummy but can make each characters unique and stand out. Not once was I confused at who was talking or who’s POV we were in.

I want more from this narrator for sure. The story is pretty simple and easy to follow was not fan of all the spanking once in a while yeah, but it did feel like too much punishment was given out for nothing. But overall I enjoyed this book.
Going to be checking in to more from this author and narrator that’s for sure.

Phil, the male lead, is the beta enforcer of a werewolf pack is distracted by Alisha, the female lead and a human amongst a pack of wolves.

She grew up knowing about werewolves therefore she has no issue with spending time around them.

Alisha and Phil both fought their attraction to each other.

This story moved at a decent pace and all of the characters were interesting.

Overall, the story was an ok read but.. I did not like the constant "spankings" delivered by the males throughout the story line.
Its just not my thing, it happened too much, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who had an issue with it.


Aaron Shedlock did really well with the narration.

The story was enjoyable, nothing deep or exciting , just a decent story lacking a few things for me to be able to say it was a great book. The story jumps right into this world without much building or explaining, I'm guessing there was a story before this one? I love shifter books so I grabbed this as soon as the audiobook was released. The shifter world the author created was just ok, the only thing different in this story from all other shifter books was that the males of the pack spanked the females to keep them in line and I wasn't a fan of that because throughout the book it felt like the women were to be complacent and I prefer a strong female character. The sex in this book was hot and not overpowering of the story which was a nice change in shifter books. All in all I liked the story I just didn't love it.

Now the narration..... YEAH I LOVED THE NARRATION! This was my 2nd Aaron Shedlock audio and he is a great narrator! I enjoy his deep, calm, quiet voice and his female voices aren't over the top which I love. He made this book so much better for me.

I love shifter books and i was hoping this would be another i could add to the series i read. The story was really good and the narration was really great. However, i did not like all the spanking for keeping the women in line. This reminds me of those old I Love Lucy reruns where Ricky would spank Lucy. I am not a fan of this type of punishment for grown women; This took away from the story for me. I could understand respecting the Alpha and the Beta but spanking grown people? Really? I want to like the book but this spanking thing is big hang up for me. I hope maybe in the future books a better reprimand can be given. I received this book free for an honest review.
