Some ghosts refuse to stay buried. Some blood refuses to be forgotten.

Vala Rho thought escaping her captor would be the end of her nightmare. She was wrong—it was only the beginning.

With the Syndicate's target on her back burning brighter each day, Vala has one mission: find her long-lost brother Elian and complete the family she's only beginning to discover. At her side stands Rogan, the last Azhari warlord, whose fierce protection masks a hunger neither of them dare name.

Their search takes them beyond charted space, where old debts are paid in blood and the past refuses to die quietly. But as they close in on Elian, a shadow faction emerges—one that views Vala not as a fugitive, but as something almost sacred.

The truth simmers beneath her skin: in Vala's veins runs more than just blood—it's legacy, power, and the key to reshaping the galaxy's underworld. A currency more valuable than any credit chip in existence.

When they finally find Elian, he's not the victim she imagined but a man carved from the same brutal forces that shaped her. His allegiances are murky, his motives unclear, and the bond of blood may not be enough to bridge years of trauma.

As betrayals cut deep and alliances shift, Vala must decide what legacy she'll claim. The Syndicate isn't just coming for revenge this time—they're coming for her blood and the future it could build or destroy.

In the end, blood will tell. But whose story it tells—that's up to Vala.

Story repeats with few changes, worse than the last book. I was interested in this series because of the first novella. Maybe stick to shorter stories. Might try author’s other books to compare. DNF
