Lily Dawson, dubbed the countess of charm by the prince regent himself, plays the role of the courtesan flawlessly while her real purpose is spying in the service of the crown. Her mission now is to seduce a duke to test his true loyalties. She'll do it, even though the man she really wants is Andrew Booth-Payne, earl of Darlington - the duke's son.

Andrew is furious when he finds himself rivaling his father for Lily's attention. When he uncovers Lily's mission, Andrew is faced with impossible choices. It seems he is destined to betray either his family, his country, or the longings of his own heart.

Contains mature themes.

The ‘hero’ is finally shown as true- an ignorant, self important, self-aggrandized fool. And such an idiot!

Finally, a true rep

A very enjoyable romantic mystery for the last of the Three Diamonds. 5 Star story with a very nice narration by Lucy Rivers. 😀

It was an ok story. Really, ridiculous but well written. The problem for me were the characters. I just couldn't like either. I wish love stories involved love... this was lacking in chemistry from start to finish. I couldn't respect either MCs even after they supposedly fell in love. It never felt like more than rutting.

Ok

This had all the makings of an amazing story! The h/H were flawed, dimensional, strong, likeable, and so well developed. Their love story was slow burn with just the right amount of conflict to keep the story progressing without getting annoying. The story was engaging, so many dynamics bring this story together to make it great.

Definitely credit worthy!

Great story!
