This read was an entertainging listen. The author did well in keeping the Victorian feel of the story and creating some steamy sex scenes.

The narration wasn't bad, but had a few hiccups that were a little off-putting to me personally. I believe Ms. Lachlan has the potential to be a great narrator, considering how well she does with voice inflection and role changes, however, her reading seemed inconsistent. There were pauses in places that took away from the smoothness and several background noises that threw me off a bit. Overall, I enjoyed listening though.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of the series the author did a great job on the characters in the story. Lily the ex-governess, to Lady Montgomery, to Lord Harcourt. it is extremely erotica. I can't wait to finish this series.

I did enjoy the narrator quite a bit. I do understand the era and language trying to fit the time, but if a book is going to put itself in the category of erotica I think the ridiculous amount of euphemisms, and only apparently used by the female MC, took what could have been a 5 star story down at least 1 star. However I think that's generous. This young lady embraces her sexuality too quickly to avoid using the words her male counterpart uses. I was cringing. The character, Minnie, was adorable and I'd like to see more of her. Though I can't see this submissive ever being strictly with a woman after her training. She's enjoying him too much.

As the title suggests, this book doesn’t really have a super intricate plot if you’re looking for a nice quick smutty book this one’s pretty good. The narration is absolutely on point. The quality and the voices and the inflection are spectacular and I can’t wait to search out more work by this Narrator
