This was a beautiful story but there was also a bit of melancholy and sadness to it. Brian and Talker ended up with so much more than they ever dreamed. The quote shown below was Talker thinking to himself when viewing a sculpture that Brian made. If you've read the book you will understand how touching this moment is and that's when I teared up.

"It was as though the boy looked into a mirror and saw only the darkness, while the person looking at the boy saw only the light."

The narrator was still just OK for me and I actually went back and read parts of the ebook so I could understand parts of it better.

Too short. I enjoyed the characters very much and was happy Brian found his true calling. Talker on the other hand was left hanging. He deserved to find his path as well. I feel let down.
