The Boss is the first book in the new Vengeful Empire series. Dimitrios and Willow meet again in Greece after many years after a tragedy occurs for both of them. Now they must learn to trust each other in order to discover the culprit. Along the way, they discover more about each other and eventually fall in love. Thomas Locklear and Scarlet Love were brilliant in their narration of this fabulous story. I highly recommend listening.

I absolutely loved this dark mafia romance audiobook! The story was gripping from start to finish — intense, emotional, and filled with that perfect mix of danger and passion that kept me hooked. The characters were complex and raw, making the dark twists feel all the more powerful.

What truly made the experience unforgettable were the narrators. Their voices brought such depth and authenticity to the story, capturing every shade of emotion perfectly. The tension, the tenderness, and the fierce chemistry between the characters came alive through their performances. I could easily get lost in this audiobook for hours.

If you’re a fan of dark romance with a thrilling mafia backdrop, this one is a must-listen.

I found the female barrier to be boring and flat. I had to DNF because I found it to hard to stay interested with the barely emotive female narration.

Book one of the series was great. It had me enamored from beginning to end. I can’t wait to hear the next one.

I tried to finish it because I used a point on it, but the narration was not great. The female narrator was so bland. The male narrator was ok, but because the narration was just meh, it made the audio a chore to listen to.
