Haimishly, Happerstadt seemed an unremarkable person who lived an ordinary life. He was, it was supposed, the son of a peasant farmer and the keeper of one of the few bookshops in the kingdom of Ashwalen. He had long ceased to expect his life to change in any meaningful way. But one day, while he was at dinner in his kitchen, there came a knock at the backdoor of his shop, and he met someone there he did not expect.
It was the wizard Kahgross who was at his door. Kahgross revealed to Haimishly his father's true identity and, thus, his own heritage. Then Kahgross swept him away on adventures that would profoundly change his life. From finding a magic stone to defeating a warlord and the evil wizard that allied with him – thus helping Haimishly's father Rashcand regain the throne – to braving the dangers of the lands of the east, Haimishly would go through much.
With the help of Kagross, he became a prince, and through wandering in the east, he would face to face with Elnilgad, the elven warrior prince whose love (and the intervention of the Gods) would change his nature forever.
Nevertheless, his paths would be fraught with intrigue and danger before he could obtain all he was destined for. They would lead him to confront the greatest evil being of them all – Balboshep, the Lord of the Dark, the source of evil and death. Would the ever-driving power of fate remain with Haimishly?
