Bit is the best thief in Maidenhead City. Normally disguised as a teenage boy, he robs from the rich and keeps most of it. Some may go to the poor, but most of what he takes stays in his own pocket. Bit is a criminal, yet at the same time, he is a patriot. When one of his jobs uncovers an espionage ring, Bit finds a way to anonymously report it to the authorities. This first act of patriotism leads to more and eventually reveals rot near the center of the kingdom. Bit does everything he can to combat the threats while staying free. I got about 20% into it and the trans content started getting heavily introduced. I'm not interested in hearing about a cross-dressing dude who happens to be the main character making out with another dude. the author's writing is okay if a bit stiff but I'm not going to come along for the ride as he tries to normalize cross-dressing / alternative relationship types.
