Fabiano was raised to follow in his father’s footsteps as consigliere of the Chicago Outfit—until the man abandons him. Left to fend for himself, Fabiano is forced to fight for a place in the mafia world. As a ruthless street fighter, he quickly earns his place as the new enforcer of the Las Vegas Camorra—a man to fear.

Leona wants to build a decent life for herself, away from her drug-addicted mother. But soon, she catches the attention of a dangerous man, Fabiano Scuderi. Staying out of trouble and living a normal life are near-impossible with a man like him.

Leona knows she needs to avoid Fabiano, but men like him aren’t easy to shake off. They always get what they want. Fabiano cares about only one thing: the Camorra. But his attraction to Leona soon puts his unwavering loyalty to the test: Is Leona worth risking everything he’s fought for and ultimately his life?

There was not a whole lot of emotion during the narration. a lot of the time it sounded like a computer generated voice.

I read this story already but was so excited to actually listen to the audio book version!! Loved this story!! Fabiano and Leona are such amazing characters! The odds were definitely against them. It was interesting seeing everything play out the way it did. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I’m exited to see if Twisted emotions will come out on audible!

I read the bound by series and immediately had to jump into this one. Seeing Fabiano grown up was so bittersweet. But he’s such a bad ass, I love him.

Loveeee

I want to start this review by saying I hope Leona actually becomes a lawyer, and it doesn't become a dropped plot point.

My heart always cried for Fabiano. Because I felt his sisters abandoned him. While not intentionally, their actions always found a way to cause him pain. But of course the blame needs to go solely towards their abusive father. However when Fabiano was "missing" for 6 years, I feel like his sisters stopped caring. Gianna even says he will be fine because he is a boy. Like their father didn't abuse him and her for years. And then when he reappears Aria acts like everything is supposed to go back to normal. And can't understand why he changed so much. Really girl 🙃!?!?!

Leona and Fabiano both came from broken homes. And they saved each other. Two people who desperately needed love, found it in each other. What this book lacked in character development (would have liked to see more of the past regarding Leona she was just thrown at us), it makes up for in message. We all need that one person to help us thrive. Fabiano found and created a new family. While they are all crazy AF, I think Fabiano needed that chaos. Since he suffered under his father's toxic need for perfection. Leona didn't stick out to me as the female lead (my first read through at least) but I feel that was intentional since this was Fabiano's chance to shine. And I'm glad their relationship progression was not dragged out. Fabiano fighting Remo so he could date Leona had me screaming, and then physically gasping when the outfit attacked. This book kept me entertained from beginning to end. And I'm glad Fabiano has the family and love he deserves! Surprisingly I'm happy they didn't get married in the end, Fabiano needs a love that will grow over time. Also I'm glad Leona was an outsider, so Fabiano could briefly get away from the remainders of his past. He couldn't protect his sisters, but he damn sure will protect Leona.

This is random and somewhat of a spoiler, but it's a little strange that Leona was against drinking because of her parents in this book. But in later books she willingly gets drunk and is even described as being able to handle her liquor better than others. Probably a simple plot hole. But I can't imagine Leona wanting to act like either one of her parents.
