Unexpected Surrender is a brilliantly written, dark, HOT, psychologically thrilling, story that just might take you out of you comfort zone. Filled with interesting, complex, well drawn characters, and dialogue so riveting that it is at times eerie, this one will definitely keep you guessing, make you think, make your wonder and then have you guessing again! The narration that brought this story to life had me mesmerized. It was beyond excellent! This is my second book by J.M. Walker and I am now officially a FAN!

This book combined two of my favorite things Mafia (we're not Mafia lol) and romance. The story line had some good twists and turns . the female narrator had to grow on me but overall a good read.

This was an enjoyable book. Luther was determined to have Lexi and I really like that he craved her. Veronica Harder did a good job but I think Mark Harrietha's narration was great. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Unexpected Surrender deserves to be exhalted. Begins with a intriguing prologue which leads into a nectarous page turner novel that is highly effecting, super twisted with villainous activity sprinkled through the pages. Luscious erotic moments intricately weaved in all the right places. Flipping through the pages till the end Lexi & Luther's love affair is explicitly detailed with audacious love and trust. I adored how it ended. Another unparallel, unforgettable and spine-tingling by this talented author.

Veronica Harder, Mark Harrietha are both new narrators. With this dual narration I really enjoyed Mark's performance of Luther. Exactly how I would picture him.. His tone was perfect. I struggled with listening to Veronica's inflection as I didnt picture it as Lexi. I just didn't enjoy her portion as much.

I recommend listening.
