Riley Dover's sole focus is college—until a twist of fate throws her off course and she finds herself in desperate need of a student-athlete to complete her degree.

Will Caufield, the guy who broke Riley's heart three years ago, is the one who blindly steps into her life again to help. But Will isn't just any athlete. He's the star of the college hockey team—the sport Riley has been avoiding for years.

As feelings resurface, Will's determination to win Riley back becomes as strong as his passion for the game. But Riley harbors secrets—secrets that broke them apart last time.

As old wounds reopen, Will and Riley find themselves skating on thin ice between love and heartbreak. Riley must learn to trust Will with the truth, and Will must decide what's more important—hockey or heart.

What Are the Chances? is a second-chance college hockey romance and the spicy second book of the Phil-U series.

I read this one because I loved the first book in the series so much but this second book didn’t compare. Riley was frustrating to me for almost the entirety of the story with all her secrets and playing into her insecurities and fears. Overall, the narrations were good and I appreciate a HEA.

A little disappointing

The story is cute. Will is a great character and Riley was ok. Normally characters have to grow on me , but unfortunately Riley started off strong but I ended up not liking her much by the end. I was a little disappointed she didn’t make will work harder or grovel more. Like girl come on. But then I find out she kept so so so many secrets from Will I thought to myself she never bought into their relationship freshman year and then it makes more sense why she gave in so easily after Will cheated.

Cute but…….

i loved the first book and I was so hyped for a year to get this second book, but I can confirm i dnfed because second chance romance with cheating and not even a good explanation I'm done. screw that. Also cheating while her mom is terminally ill makes it worse. Will would be the guy you leave not the guy you go back too ewwwm

second chance shouldn't go like that
