Bridgett Watkins was born in Arkansas and raised in Alaska from the age of six. What began as a childhood fascination with sled dogs evolved into a passion to race in the Iditarod. Today, she balances her roles as an ER nurse, mother, and adventurer while staying dedicated to her mushing dreams and family. Driven by a desire to inspire others to reach for their own goals, Bridgett encourages readers to face their journeys one marker at a time. She lives with her husband, Scotty, their sons, Timber and River, and sled dogs at Kennel on a Hill in Alaska.
