Dr. Gitterle is an audio engineer, and has worked with major label recording artists, and on film and commercial projects, including international documentary productions. He is an avid electronic tinkerer and licensed amateur radio operator (KF5IAE). He is also a proponent of alternative energy, having lived completely “off grid” since 2005, in a solar powered home, using some of the most advanced, currently available alternative energy technology. Living off grid has created the impetus to develop a wide range of expertise in the area of system design and evaluation in alternative energy, particularly in the areas of climate control, energy storage, and remote, system monitoring. He lives in Central Texas with his wife, noted sculptor Heather Carter, and two sons, Aidan and Gabel.
