Kaye knows how to write firefighter books!
Warning: this book will hook you in the best way! I absolutely love Kaye's writing and have read them all! This is where it all begins and it features Dylan and Autumn. Dylan is a firefighter who rescued autumn from a fire and the connection isn't something either one could walk away from. And when the past reveals itself be prepared to see why! I absolutely loved the narration on this book! so much emotion and I would get lost in it!

EVERYTHING AWESOME, BEST STORY EVER. Wish it was longer or a book 2 just for them. Just a short story. Anyways, love this and highly recommend all to read this. Suitable for all readers. Steamy sences not that bad which made this so much better an perfect for what the story line was about.

I loved the characters in this book. Our hero, Dylan Hogan, has an alpha personality but with a sensitive side. Autumn, our heroine, is described best by Dylan "Sweetheart, you are a strong, brave, bad ass woman". I love books that include heroines that are strong and hold their own again their alpha counterparts. Being with Dylan throughout the book, you can see Autumn's confidence grow. And Dylan saving the kitten in the beginning - SWOON!

The chemistry between these 2 characters is on fire. The heat between them is undeniable.

Jo Raylan and Nelson Hobbs do a stellar job representing the characters in the book.

This debut book by Kaye Kennedy was difficult to put down - I quickly got wrapped-up in their story. The other side characters are entertaining and add to the story. All of the Hogan brothers have very different personalities and I can't wait to read each of their books.

I will end this with one of my favorite quotes from the book:

"I refused to live in fear of the end, but rather chose to live for every moment"

I absolutely loved the characters in the story. Overcoming the past, they find a connection that leads them to a life that is meant to be. The narrators did a wonderful job bringing this couple to life. I can’t wait for more of this fantastic series by Kaye Kennedy!

I absolutely cannot stand the FMC. She is selfish, irresponsible and immature. I don’t see how people can say she’s strong and intelligent when all of her actions say otherwise. She doesn’t think about how her lies and actions affect other people, only how she gets the outcome she wants. She had the nerve to get mad the MMC left when she told him to leave. If you don’t want someone to leave, don’t tell them to leave. He should have left for good though, he deserved better.
As far as the relationship goes, I didn’t feel chemistry between them. It seemed to be based solely on lust, especially since the FMC didn’t share hardly any truth with the MMC.
The fact that that she got mad at him and gave him an ultimatum about putting himself in danger at work was also hypocritical since he chose to be with her knowing she might not have a long life and she wasn’t being as careful and taking care of herself the way she should. It seemed like a one sided relationship with him bending to her wants.
