This was my first Omegaverse experience which I enjoyed. It was very interesting, kept me engaged and entertained. Love the romantic elements, humor, support characters and the intense unpredictability of the plot. The narrator did a great job. I received a free copy from the author and voluntary chose to share my thoughts/opinion.

Hot damn DANIEL BUTTREY!! I am immediately going to look for more alpha books narrated by him. He has the ultimate alpha growl, purr, and deep cadence that was EVERYTHING for the narration of this book. The recording was crisp and clear, no reverb or echo like I heard on the first book.

I read this as an ebook a long time ago and I forgot more of it, so I enjoyed this story like it was the first time. I really liked Ethan and Penny's pairing and characters. As MCs they worked really well together.

This book is a bit darker than the first one but nothing extreme. (Kidnapping, drugging, violence, stalking, mention of attempted s-assault, etc.) Definitely check the trigger warnings from the author if you have reservations.

Leann Ryans definitely stepped it up with this book and I can see how her writing matured from her earlier books. I've already listened to the third book in this series and loved it. I wish there will be more books added to this series but it doesn't seem too likely. But here's hoping the author does. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Narrator Nathanial Buttrey has a very versatile voice. He is great at creating unique voices for each character—he never loses track of who’s who and he’s always entertaining. As far as author Leann Ryans is concerned, I am a huge fan. I always know I’m going to love that dive into the pool of her Alphas—well, Omegas and Betas, too!

Penny has ‘ex’ problems. Big-time ‘ex’ problems. He’s a class-A jerk, woman beating, wishes-he-was-an-Alpha beta. Adrian, Penny’s ex, puts her through h-ee-double-hockey-sticks. Penny hires Ethan for protection. From their first meeting, the chemistry between Ethan and Penny is off the charts. We’re talking H. O. T. 🥵 The threats from her ex escalate, … and, well, you’ll just have to listen and/or read for yourself. I’ll just leave off here by saying, this is a really good book.

Wow! This is such a great book! A little different, which I liked! The story was well written, intense, exciting, and enjoyable. The characters were well developed, interesting, charming, determined and likable. I really enjoyed listening to the audible! The narrator I thought did a great job throughout the book! I really enjoyed this one and can't wait to read/listen to more!
