I just finished this audiobook and thought the story itself was enjoyable, with a good pace and a length that felt right. The only thing that didn’t work for me was the narration, something about the rhythm and tone felt off from start to finish. Even so, you get used to it after a while, and it doesn’t stop you from following the story. Overall, I’d still recommend this audiobook.

I was entertained by this novella. This story took place in Regency England which has long been a favorite time period of mine. I liked Lady Rebecca Eliot because she decided to follow her own desires after not receiving a marriage proposal. I thought Harrison Sinclair, Earl of Mulgrave, was dreamy. There were some steamy scenes depicted. I thought CC Kline's narration helped to bring the characters to life. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
