I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick hurt/comfort romance. I liked both Adrian and Dan. Though we don't get to see their relationship in great detail, I liked really getting to know the two men through their meetings. Dan's physical scars from an accident left him angry, hopeless for a normal future, and walls up to keep himself apart from people and hide his face. As an escort, Adrian has gotten good at reading and handling people, but Dan was a surprise for him and didn't always react as he'd expected him to. They both awakened something in each other. Adrian helping to heal a part of Dan in a way to push him past his own walls; and Dan awakening a sense of dissatisfaction in Adrian to what's missing in his life. I really liked their journey. This is the first story I've read by this author and I would read/listen to more.

Everett Sterling did a good job narrating this story and giving these characters a voice. He's a new-to-me narrator.

This was a lovely short story that captured me from start to end.
Everette Sterling has a voice that my ears could happily listen to nonstop and I thought he brought the emotions, characters and story to life beautifully.

I would have loved to follow Dan and Adrian further on in their relationship but this is usually how I feel with all short stories.

Thank You to Anne Brooke and team for giving me this chance to listen to this beautiful story.
