Over the years, I’ve gone on an average of two dates per week. More than a thousand first dates. The number that led to a second date? Maybe 8%. The ones that turned into something more? Say, 2 to 3%. The odds aren’t great, but hey, I like the game.
I’ve met women from all walks of life—some amazing, some forgettable, some just in it for the free dinner. I don’t mind being used for a meal or two, but I will never be someone’s personal ATM. I’m generous to a fault, but I’m not a sucker.
This book isn’t about any one woman or any one date. It’s about the experience. The thrill, the frustration, the humor, and the absurdity of it all. It’s about what it means to be single in a world where you’re always just one swipe away from another possibility.
