this was a good story. I can't wait to read the next in the series
Although, some of the characters are a bit to fussy. Making the narrator's voice irritating.

good story

Great follow up to 1689, the first one. The plot in 1722 was well structured and captivating, as was 1689, each having individual and unique baleful aspects. Very scary and ominous. It makes sense as to why the ghost does those things if you heard the first version. And a very scary twist as far into the story as the epilogue, to end the story in a horrific way, cementing the story as true horror, and highlighting the unparalleled evil power of Hardlow House... well, maybe Hill House is its only competition in terms of atmosphere. Now it's on to the next in the series, 1775. Amy Cross is a very talented writer. This has to be her most terrifying series.
