Excellent work on this one, both from the author and narrator! I look forward to Book 2! Highly recommended!

Author C.R. Bracher demonstrates a strong command of storytelling by crafting a world that feels both imaginative and purposeful, rooted in a unique premise shaped by a goddess’s experimental whim. Characters are well-developed and layered, with the protagonist in particular revealing a quiet intelligence that unfolds gradually, making him far more perceptive than he first appears. The narrative is engaging throughout, supported by vivid descriptions that bring the story to life. The dialogue is sharp and effective, consistently driving the story forward with clarity and momentum. The plot twists are unexpected and brings about a satisfying desire to hear more.

The narrator, Nicholas Goroff, delivers a polished and immersive performance, speaking with clarity that makes the story easy to follow while maintaining a steady, smooth cadence throughout. Their thoughtful use of pauses adds depth and emphasis in all the right moments, allowing key scenes to breathe, while nuanced tonal inflections enrich the listening experience, subtly conveying emotion and drawing the audience further into the narrative without ever feeling overdone.

Altogether, this is a richly imagined and expertly delivered audiobook that captures both the scope of epic fantasy and the intimacy of a character-driven journey. With a compelling blend of inventive worldbuilding, thoughtful character development, and a narrator who enhances every moment, this story leaves a lasting impression and a strong anticipation for what comes next.

Fantasy

A Dragon of Turicum by C. R. Bracher is a great fantasy. Nicholas Goroff did a great job with the narration. The story is entertaining, interesting, enjoyable, and more. A Dragon of Turicum is the first book in Heirs of Regula series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
