A House Party

A slow burn romance of two people who have put up walls barring commitment. Yet both know how much they are missing. A two week house party brings them together. Now see how they can get their HEA. Well written with lots of angst and humor. Very entertaining.

I listened to the Audible version of this book. The narrator, Tara-Louise Kaye with her appropriate accent presents this story well. 4 stars for her as well.

Beautiful story with great narrator. Good plot and characters. Easy to listen to and well crafted. Fully enjoyed.

A Fortnight for Temptation!

This is a little longer read/listen in the Courting of Ruin series. It stands alone and is a good and enjoyable story. The story is about Lady Alice and Samuel, Viscount Crewe. These two start a dance of words and challenges that lead them on a path of discovery and more. The audio version is nicely done and really brings the characters and their story to life.

Alice and Samuel

Alice and Samuel are both quite wary of marriage. Alice does not wish to lose her identity by being a dutiful (only) wife. Samuel holds on to past regret, for something that was not his fault. Something else they have in common are their friends Clara and Crispin, who seem somewhat determined to see the two of them together. The house party gives them the opportunity to get to know each other and share something of their pasts and confide in each other. This is a well-written and emotional slow-burn romance with a couple who learn the value of understanding, and of helping each other. Nice narration by Tara-Louise Kaye.

Regency

A Fortnight for Temptation by Amanda Mariel is a great historical regency romance. Tara-Louise Kaye did a great job with the narration. The story is entertaining, romantic, interesting, enjoyable, slow burn, and more. A Fortnight for Temptation is the third book in Courting Ruin series.
