After the strongest solar flare to strike the Earth in more than a hundred years creates an ElectroMagnetic Pulse EMP that destroys all computers, including microchips in vehicles, as well as shutting down permanently the national power grid, people are trying to survive. In the first of the series, a new husband and his newly adopted fourteen-year-old daughter are camping hundreds of miles from home. How do they survive and attempt the trip when there are no cars, trains, or airplanes? And... did I mention, no food? Or that the wife and mother stayed at home? How is she managing?

The anticipated series will focus on the situations of other, unrelated ordinary people caught up in the EMP.
