I'imrik never needed a mask. As Maskless of the House of Apathy, I'imrik had conquered every emotion and felt nothing. The Sorrows were bound to sadness, and the Rages, their anger; Joys pranced with grotesque, unwavering smiles. Feeling an emotion outside of your district was a Betrayal of one's house, and Betrayal was punishable by death.

When Lilo, the new Maskless of the House of Joy, invites I'imrik to a fight to the death, his eyes open to a world of chaos.
