When Mr Thomas Tapley, a respectable but down-at-heel gentleman, is found bludgeoned to death in his sitting room, his neighbour Inspector Benjamin Ross of Scotland Yard rushes to the scene. Love the narration and the characters

I have enjoyed the books in this series. The characters, main and side, were very likeable. The narration was wonderful. Ann Granger made this series different by offering the story from both Ben and Lizzie’s point of view, and the audible version had 2 different narrators hence. The narrators were wonderful! They were able to bring out the feelings of both Ben and Lizzie down to the little nuances. You have to listen for yourself to fully appreciate it.
The story was interesting and had many understated humour, which made me laughed.
Ann Granger most well known series would be the Meredith Mitchell and Markby series which I love too, but I have to say now that I started this Inspector Ben Ross series, I love it more.
