I love the style of these short little ghostly stories but this wasn’t doesn’t give enough substance to take root and hold my attention.

Too vague

This was a spooky story making use of a sense of dread that permeates the piece. You are given just enough information to imagine. One of the things I enjoy about James’ stories.
