A Woman's War

In 1914, the world descended into war. Nineteen-year-old Elodie Fabien finds herself a refugee in France when Reims is overrun. She yearns to help her country, and her determination leads her to the women of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry. The FANYS are on their way to Calais, where the Belgian Army has an understaffed hospital. Elodie discovers courage and resiliency as her work takes her from the hospital to the trenches and eventually as a courier for Madame Curie. Elodie, with her firsthand experience of the terror of trench warfare, meets a young British lieutenant and learns the pain of loving someone on the front lines. Throughout the long years, Elodie experiences all the facets of a woman's war.
