After Z, Part VI

Ryan Maxwell built the ultimate survival Bunker in which his family could ride out any disaster imaginable, never thinking that any such disaster would actually come.

But disaster did eventually come in the form of the Immuno-Degenerative and Epidermal Decomposition Virus (Strain 2). ImDED2 nearly ended mankind overnight, and fate has largely kept Ryan from enjoying the safety of the Bunker with his family.

Now there’s a plan to end the menace of the living dead once and for all, and Ryan, Nick and Michael must, once again, lead their friends on a cross-country trek to break into highly secured, abandoned military sites. If they are successful, the power unleased by man’s greatest weapons might just be the secret to man’s ultimate salvation.

Along the way some old friends may be lost, but others will join the fight.

I love the family dynamic of all the guys and the silly humor they can still express even in the horror they are living. (AKA Big “D”). This cliffhanger is too much for my poor heart. I can’t believe I have to wait a year. But… I will!

What a ride!

I got hooked on this series right off the bat. The blend of horror, humor, action and adventure are perfectly balanced. It’s impossible to not love the characters and when someone meets an unfortunate fate, your heartstrings will be tugged. If you haven’t started this series and stumbled upon my review, go get book one and enjoy the ride. This is easily one of my all time favorite tales of terror! Matt Crow masterfully brought the cast to life and the sky’s the limit for J.S Patrick. His writing style is brilliant and addictive. Highly recommend!

Excellent Zompoc adventures

We have to wait a year!! What a huge cliffhanger ending. I hope js Patrick gets busy with the next book.
What a fantastic series this has become. I really like this author’s writing. The story through all the books has been consistently fast-paced, never boring and filled with nail biting surprises.
Ryan Maxwell and his group are funny, smart, snarky and fiercely honest and loyal. They are so easy to root for and Mr. author, thank you, thank you you I can’t thank you enough for NOT killing off every good guy.
Loving this series and can’t wait for the next one .

What in the koala

I absolutely love the animals that are part of this story as much as the characters. Ala the koala hasn’t said a word yet I found myself laughing about loud at times. A good reprieve from the intensity.

Captivating with a heavy well needed dose of comedy

Love the series so far, looking forward to the next installments. As a veteran myself I love the humor, it is spot on and has me laughing the whole time. I have listened to a lot of zombie apocalypse books and it had me hooked from the first one, mainly because of the new take I haven’t heard before that zombies were essentially a “normal” thing but no serious outbreak yet. Has me thinking about my own bunker dreams.
