Emma Bontrager is growing closer to the handsome Englischer Jarron Williams by the day. He even comes to visit her when working in her sister Sarah's store in the middle of a blizzard. Their younger sister Martha still has had no contact with the family and everyone worries for her safety.

Jarron tells her that he must speak to her alone and that he would come to her that evening. Emma's stomach is full of excitement and then guilt. She cannot forget Eli, her poor dead husband.

Jarron arrives in the middle of the night and takes her to a place that is very important to her. And then he shows her something that he has discovered. Something that might well bring joy back to Emma's life.
