An Affair with Grouse is entirely about ruffed grouse and grouse dogs reflecting the consecration of the man who wrote it, interests enhanced by drawing them and writing about them. Reminiscent of the days when one person used related crafts to create a book, it has been designed and shaped into a deluxe edition by one man and woman.

This is considered one of George Bird Evans’s true cult classics. It speaks to the passion, love, and romance of all things that encompass the art of grouse hunting over a pointing dog.

This man gets bird dogs and bird hunting, great listen as many of Mr. Evans’ titles are.

Careful listening if you have an old bird dog at home or recently lost one, your eyes may start to sweat. Really good though.

Wonderful and at points terribly sad.

Beautiful narration that brings me back to times I hunted in the not so distant past. This retelling of George Bird Evan's gun diary was a wonderful reminder to enjoy the moment and to appreciate life.
